The Godhead
The following is designed to explore and contrast different views of the godhead and their development over time.
It is left to the reader to conclude which of the following is the scriptural view of the godhead as brought to us by the prophet messenger William Marrion Branham.
May the following inform, provoke, clarify and be an aid to understanding the tremendous doctrine of the godhead.

Knowing God and His Name, Scripture background
The scriptures promises that God will reveal Himself to His people. In the Old Testament He reveals Himself as the LORD, the ‘I am’.
EXODUS 3:13-14
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, [when] I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What [is] his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
EXODUS 29:46
46 And they shall know that I [am] the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I [am] the LORD their God.
JEREMIAH 24:7
7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I [am] the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
EZEKIEL 28:26
26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD their God.
EZEKIEL 36:23
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I [am] the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
EZEKIEL 39:22
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORD their God from that day and forward.
DANIEL 11:32
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].

41 Now, and He… What is His Name first?
We’ll have to name–find what God’s Name is before we can find what it is He’s putting in the place.
Now, we find out that He had many titles. He’s called the–He was called “Father,” which is a title; and He was called “Son,” which is a title; He was called “Holy Ghost,” which is a title; He’s called “Rose of Sharon,” which is a title: “Lily of the Valley,” a title; “Morning Star,” “Jehovah-jireh,” “Jehovah-rapha,” seven different compound redemptive names, but all of them were titles. None of them were names.
But He has a Name.
When He met Moses He had not a Name yet, and He told Moses, “I AM THAT I AM.” And when we see Jesus on earth, speaking in Hebrews the 6th chapter, I beg your pardon, St. John the 6th chapter, He said, “I AM THAT I AM.”
They said, “Why, you’re a man not over fifty years old and say that you seen Abraham?”
He said, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” And I AM was the One–the burning bush–the Pillar of Fire that was in the burning bush back in the days of Moses, the I AM THE I AM.
NOTE: God’s chosen place of worship is connected to His Name
God, defined as ‘Jehovah’ has many titles (link) as Baal has many titles (Link).
However, these titles are not the Name.
EXODUS 20:2-3
2 I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
NOTE: We are not to have any other God but the ‘I Am’
Dispensational views of the Godhead
DISCERNING.BODY.OF.LORD_ CHATAUQUA.OH V-2 N-25 WEDNESDAY_ 59-0812
12-1 The prophets of the Old Testament, Daniel and the others said, “In the last days that the people that know their God shall do exploits.”
That’s a promise. When the intellectual looks at the exploits, they’ll say, “Oh, that’s psychology; it’s mental telepathy; it’s the working of the devil.”
But the Holy Ghost will answer back, “Amen, that’s the truth.” The right discernment. They promised it. Jesus promised it. Jesus said, “The works that I do shall you do also, even greater than this shall you do, for I go to My Father.”
While Trinitarians and Oneness suppose there is one God and a son, they see the son as one of a trinity or as being the father Himself. They also have differing views of God unfolding Himself in a succession of dispensations.
In addition, a further view of the Godhead is as follows:
Decision making tree view of the Godhead

198-306 That’s that great Person the Lord Jesus. He was Jehovah, God inveiled in flesh. The Bible said, “Whatever you do in word and deed, do it all in His Name.” The Bible said the whole family in heaven is named Jesus, and the whole family on earth is named Jesus. Let’s pray in His Name, live in His Name, teach in His Name, die in His Name, buried in His Name, baptized in His Name, resurrect in His Name, go to heaven in His Name. That’s His Name, and His Bride is named Mrs. Jesus. He’ll take a people out of the Gentiles for His Name’s sake.
And I’m not a oneness. No, sir. You trinitarian people get that away from you. I am not a oneness. No, sir. I’m not a oneness, neither a trinitarian. I believe what the Bible says. That’s correctly. Amen. Whew. I get too much on one. What was that? Did I get it out? Or, let’s see, what was it? Oh, yes, that’s right, about the… how the Father was in Christ. He was a man; He was a God-man.
NOTE: W.M. Branham reminds us that the oneness doctrine, in opposition to the trinity doctrine, is based on the assumption that Jesus of Nazareth is God, making Him His own father.

Now, somebody says, “Brother Branham is a oneness.” No, sir, I am not a oneness. I do not believe that Jesus could be His own father.
I believe that Jesus had a Father, and that was God.
But God dwelled and tabernacled in this body called Jesus, and He was Emmanuel: God with us.
And there’s no other God besides this God. He is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. And the Name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost… Father: the Lord, Son: Jesus, Holy Ghost: Logos, Spirit of God. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Lord Jesus Christ; that’s Him. And in Him dwelled the Fullness of the Godhead bodily.

394-151 And His Name was called what? Jesus. All right. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, now, Father and the Holy Ghost is the self same Spirit.
What is Ghost? It’s the Spirit of God. And when it was, He came on the baptism of Jesus and dwelt in Him, “This is My beloved Son in Whom I’m well pleased to dwell in.” He came down and dwelled in Jesus, and that made Him Emmanuel on earth…..

Thirteen principles of faith (Judaism in Diaspora)
As by Moses Maimonides ‘The guide for the perplexed (12th century AD)
In his commentary on the Mishnah (tractate Sanhedrin, chapter 10), Maimonides formulates his “13 principles of faith”; and that these principles summarized what he viewed as the required beliefs of Judaism:
- The existence of God.
- God’s unity and indivisibility into elements.
- God’s spirituality and incorporeality.
- God’s eternity.
- God alone should be the object of worship.
- Revelation through God’s prophets.
- The preeminence of Moses among the prophets.
- That the entire Torah (both the Written and Oral law) are of Divine origin and were dictated to Moses by God on Mt. Sinai.
- The Torah given by Moses is permanent and will not be replaced or changed.
- God’s awareness of all human actions and thoughts.
- Reward of righteousness and punishment of evil.
- The coming of the Jewish Messiah.
- The resurrection of the dead.

Nicaea AD325 – Council to unify church doctrine – against the doctrines known as Arianism (link)
The council of Nicaea was called for to settle schisms in the Church as Constantine saw this as weakening the unity of his rule.
As Arianism was deemed a Heresy by the council of Nicaea, their documents were largely destroyed and/or removed from access to the public. Much of what we do know is gleaned from texts criticising their doctrines.
Below are examples of writings, some by opponents, others by Arius, discussing the doctrines of those who opposed the statements of faith of the Council of Nicaea AD325 and the council of Constantinople AD381.
Trinitarianism – Three as one (link)
Trinitarians believe that ‘God the father’, ‘God the son’ and God the Hol Spirit’ make up the God of Christianity.

One of them was a triune God, a trinitarian. And the other one was a–a one God. And they both come into existence and went out on two straight limbs, out like that. The triunity became a place of a three-god person. The oneness became a unitarian, just as far wrong as the other one was. So they both went on limbs, but right in here reveals the Truth.
Jesus could not be His own Father. Neither… If He had a Father outside of the Holy Spirit, then He is a illegitimate child and not… The Holy Ghost conceived Him, and He said God was His Father. So the Holy Ghost and God… That’s Matthew 1:18, if… The Holy Ghost and God has to be the same Person or He had two daddy’s. And He was called Emmanuel, which is “God with us.” He claimed when He was here on earth that He and the Father was One.

Creed of Nicaea AD325 and Constantinople AD381
Islam – One God and NO son (from 5th Century onwards) (link)
Position: One God who has no son
The Shadadah
“There is no deity except God; Muḥammad is the messenger of God”
Oneness Pentecostalism (link)
Position: One God in three Modes
Oneness Pentecostalism (also known as Apostolic, Jesus’ Name Pentecostalism, or the Jesus Only movement) is a nontrinitarian religious movement within the Protestant Christian family of churches known as Pentecostalism. It derives its name from its teaching on the Godhead, a form of Modalistic Monarchianism commonly referred to as the Oneness doctrine. The doctrine states that there is one God―a singular divine spirit with no distinction of persons―who manifests himself in many ways, including as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This stands in sharp contrast to the doctrine of three distinct, eternal persons posited by Trinitarian theology.
Arianism – 4th century (link)
Position: God has a son who is distinct and subordinate to the father (deity position unclear)
Arianism is a doctrine considered heretical by all mainstream branches of Christianity. It is first attributed to Arius (c. AD 256–336), a Christian presbyter who preached and studied in Alexandria, Egypt.
Arian theology holds that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was begotten by God the Father with the difference that the Son of God did not always exist but was begotten/made before “time” by God the Father; therefore, Jesus was not coeternal with God the Father, but nonetheless Jesus began to exist outside time as time applies only to the creations of God.
Jehovah Witness – 1879 Watchtower – Charles Taze Russel (link)
Position: God has a son who is not God, who is not deity
Jehovah Witness articles of faith: As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we strive to adhere to the form of Christianity that Jesus taught and that his apostles practiced. This article summarizes our basic beliefs.
- God. We worship the one true and Almighty God, the Creator, whose name is Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Revelation 4:11) He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Exodus 3:6; 32:11; John 20:17.
- Bible. We recognize the Bible as God’s inspired message to humans. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16) We base our beliefs on all 66 of its books, which include both the “Old Testament” and the “New Testament.” Professor Jason D. BeDuhn aptly described it when he wrote that Jehovah’s Witnesses built “their system of belief and practice from the raw material of the Bible without predetermining what was to be found there.”
While we accept the entire Bible, we are not fundamentalists. We recognize that parts of the Bible are written in figurative or symbolic language and are not to be understood literally. Revelation 1:1.
- Jesus. We follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and honor him as our Savior and as the Son of God. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 5:31) Thus, we are Christians. (Acts 11:26) However, we have learned from the Bible that Jesus is not Almighty God and that there is no Scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine. John 14:28.

139 A woman told me not long ago, a very good woman, a Christian Science, who didn’t believe that Jesus was the… and Deity. She believed He was a prophet. She believed that He was a good Man, but He was not–He wasn’t a virgin born. They deny the virgin birth.
QA.IMAGE.OF.THE.BEAST_ JEFF.IN SATURDAY_ 54-0515
172-Q-30 30. Will you explain about Christian–Christian Science?
All right. I… Here’s… I won’t speak about your religion, my brother or sister, whoever put the question. Christian Science is psychology. And Divine healing is the power of God. Christian Science has mind over matter; Christian Science denies the Blood of Jesus Christ. Christian Science… No, I got Mrs. Eddy’s books up there and read them all. See? That’s right. Christian Science denies the Deity of Jesus Christ, and puts Him a prophet. Jesus Christ was not a man; He was God. He was Divine. And they think it’s mind over matter.
Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, was asked if Christian Scientists had a religious creed. She answered, “They have not, if by that term is meant doctrinal beliefs” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, pp. 496–497). She did provide a few tenets—or key points—that briefly summarize the teachings of Christian Science. They are rooted in the Bible.
- As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.
- We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God. We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God’s image and likeness.
- We acknowledge God’s forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that casts out evil as unreal. But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts.
- We acknowledge Jesus’ atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.
- We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.
- And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure.
Zwingli, the Swiss church

Now, the Swiss church doesn’t believe that Jesus was the–was the virgin born Son of God. That come from the Zwingli. First was Luther and then come Zwingli and Calvin and so forth. And Zwingli was in Switzerland and they–the state church is–is built upon his doctrine. They believe that he was the–the… In their own books and everything they declare that they believe that he was the Son of Joseph called the Son of God.

And then when I first started the meeting it attracted the attention there of many many thousands the first night. And so then the–oh, the–the Dutch Reform Church or the state church, rather, which was really by Zwingli and–and not Luther. And–and we’d disagreed quite a bit upon the doctrine of the–the supreme Deity of Jesus Christ.
Now, they don’t believe in that in Switzerland. The Swiss church don’t believe it. I got their own books right in English. And they say Zwingli said that Jesus was the Son of Joseph, called the Son of God. But if you–if you’d take that, that knocks every principle of Christianity out. He was a virgin born Son of God. Joseph had nothing to do with it. He was just the–the tutor to raise him, the father, foster father.
The ONE God (deity) who has a Son (also deity) presented as there being two
Position: There are two Gods: The Eternal Father and Eternal Son; making the Holy Spirit a messenger of the two.
Note: This development of a doctrine of two Gods later leads to the doctrine that there are three Gods, the formulation of the trinity.
Origen (c. 185–c. 253)
Origen, writing more than a century prior to the Council of Nicaea, explains at length his belief in the oneness of the Father and the Son by stating that “you may understand that the omnipotence of Father and Son is one and the same, as God and the Lord are one and the same with the Father.” He expounds further by stating,
“What belongs to the nature of deity is common to the Father and the Son.”
This then forms the basis for not just mere doctrine but actual practice. Origen continues by noting:
We worship one God, the Father and the Son . . . the Father of truth, and the Son, who is the truth; and these, while they are two, considered as persons or subsistences [sic], are one in unity of thought, in harmony and in identity of will.
So entirely are they one, that he who has seen the Son, “who is the brightness of God’s glory, and the express image of His person,” has seen in Him who is the image, of God, God Himself.

Father and son in New Testament
MATTHEW 11:27
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].
MARK 13:32
32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
LUKE 1:32-33
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
LUKE 10:22
22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and [he] to whom the Son will reveal [him].
JOHN 1:18-24
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
JOHN 5:23-27
23 That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man
JOHN 8:28-29
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
JOHN 10:36-38
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.
JOHN 14:13
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
JOHN 17:1-3
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
HEBREWS 1:4-6
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
II PETER 1:16-18
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
I JOHN 1:3
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
I JOHN 2:22-24
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
I JOHN 4:14-15
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
II JOHN 1:3
3 Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
II JOHN 1:9-11
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
MARK 1:11
11 And there came a voice from heaven, [saying], Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
LUKE 3:22
22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
At transfiguration
MATTHEW 17:5
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
MARK 9:7
7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
LUKE 9:35
35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
II PETER 1:17
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The church coming to the understanding of the son of God
EPHESIANS 4:13-14
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
I JOHN 4:15
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
I JOHN 5:10
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
W.M. Branham not a Trinitarian nor a oneness
CALLING.JESUS.ON.THE.SCENE_ CHICAGO.IL V-21 N-8 SUNDAY_ 63-0804E
44 There’s God (See?), not three gods. Oh, how many of you trinitarian people got that mixed up. And how you Oneness people got it mixed up too of Him being one like your finger. Uh-huh. See? They’re–they both of them got it mixed up. See? That’s right. He’s the one God like your finger, and one, how could He be His Own Father? See? See, He can’t be His Own Father. And if He had another Father outside of the Holy Spirit, and if God is a man, a person, then He is a… The Holy Spirit was His Father, and God’s His Father (Matthew 1), so then He was a illegitimate Child. See? So you can’t make it either way, you–it’s both wrong.
He was God manifested in a flesh of His creative Son. See? Now, that’s, God created the Son.
MESSAGE.OF.GRACE_ JEFF.IN V-13 N-3 SUNDAY_ 61-0827
37 Now, there is a group of people call themselves the Oneness or the Jesus Only. I don’t agree with them upon their theory. Neither do I agree–agree with that trinitarian group that says that there are three different Gods the extreme of the trinitarian.
But I believe that the three, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is One, that they are three offices of one God. He lived in the Fatherhood in the Pillar of Fire; He lived in the Sonship in Jesus Christ; and He lives now in the Holy Ghost in His church. The same Lord Jesus that was made flesh and dwelled among us, is with us this day, among us in the form of the Holy Spirit.
Of all the experiences, when I turned first and seen It, thinking first It could be the sun peeped through a–a cloud somewhere, but it was before the sun time. Then when I turned back again and seen it wasn’t a light, it was rainbows, and then when I looked and seen that, I become numb all over.
Just someone said to me, “Did not you feel like shouting?” No, I didn’t feel like shouting. Those experiences never make you feel like shouting; they just make you feel anchored, just where that you know that there’s something that tells you, just a satisfied feeling.
GODHEAD.EXPLAINED_ CHICAGO.IL V-2 N-24 TUESDAY_ 61-0425B
17-1 So I said, “Brother Ness, not to be different…” Now, I am going… Is it all right to use this, brother? I said, “I want to say and explain…” And in this, I might say to you brethren here. Now, don’t mention this amongst your congregation, if you will, and do me a favor, just–just–just let me just be your brother (See?), and I’ll… And if–if I’m wrong, then you forgive me. But I want to explain to you, being that there’s both groups setting here this morning, both the Oneness and the Assemblies, also, and the trinitarian belief…
Now, I want to make this statement. I want to say that I believe that both sides are wrong as long as they argue one with the other, because their motives is wrong. And as long as your motives is wrong, no matter what your objective is; but your motive to that objective is wrong, then it’ll never work. That’s right.
GODHEAD.EXPLAINED_ BEAUMONT.TX THURSDAY_ 61-0119A
E-74 Now, not long ago–and maybe the same man may listen to this tape some day–that this taken place. It was Brother Schism of the Oneness. Now, you… Many of you people listening to this would say, “Brother Branham is a Oneness.” I am not. I think you’re both wrong, both oneness and trinity. Not to be different, but it’s always the middle of the road.
Like Isaiah said, Isaiah 35 said, “There shall be a highway.” And you Nazarene brothers, and so forth, you say. “The grand old highway of holiness.” I beg your pardon. it doesn’t say the highway of holiness. It says, “There shall be a highway and (“and” is a conjunction) and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness.” Not the highway of holiness. The way is in the middle of the read. Each side is where the off-falls is found. That’s where you Oneness brethren went to on one side, Trinitarian went on the other side, but the true message lays in the center of the road.
QA.HEBREWS.PART.1_ JEFF.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ 57-0925
233-145 Now, the oneness teaching of the oneness church, I certainly disagree with them, thinking that Jesus is one like your finger’s one. He had to have a Father. If He didn’t, how could He be His own father? And if His Father was a man like the Trinitarian says, then He was borned a illegitimate birth with two fathers. So you see, you’re both wrong by arguing. See?
But the truth of it is, that both Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, is one Personality. [Blank.spot.on.tape–Ed.]… God dwelling in a tabernacle of flesh to take sin from the world… That’s exactly right, “God with us.” Now, therefore, when Matthew 28:19…
Now, you search the Scriptures, and when you can find where one person in the Bible (Now, think of it; now, don’t let this pass over you.), where one person in the Bible was ever baptized in the “name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost,” come back to me and tell me that I’m a hypocrite, and I’ll put a sign on my back and walk through the city. It’s not in the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. But every person in the Bible was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ.
QA.IMAGE.OF.THE.BEAST_ JEFF.IN SATURDAY_ 54-0515

HEBREWS.CHAPTER.7.PT.1_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0915E
292-25 Now, notice.
… He abideth for ever… (He has a testimony here that He liveth, He never dies. He never did… He never was nothing else but alive.)… He abideth for ever…
Now, Jesus was made liken unto Him. Now, the reason that there’s a difference between God and Jesus, Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning; Melchisedec had no beginning; and Jesus had a beginning. But Jesus was made likened unto Him.
… a priest abideth forever.
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.7.PT.2.CHURCH.ORDER_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0922
341-306 And this Melchisedec was not Jesus, for He was God. And what made Jesus and God different, that… Jesus was the Tabernacle that God dwelt in. See? Now, Melchisedec… Jesus had both father and mother, and this Man never had father or mother. Jesus had a beginning of life and He had a end of life. This Man had no father, no mother, no beginning of days, or ending of life.
But It was the self same Person; it was Melchisedec and Jesus was One; but Jesus was the earthly body, borned and fashioned after sin: God’s own body, His own Son, borned and fashioned after sin to take the sting out of death, to pay the ransom, and to receive sons and daughters unto Himself.
You get it? That’s the reason that He had–He had a beginning; He had an ending.
QA.HEBREWS.PART.2_ JEFF.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ 57-1002
273-385 Now, he’s speaking of the soul, the spirit. For we pack our bodies over the grave of the saintest of us, for this body. And the body… In the first place, when God, the Logos that went out of God…
Or, as I have went through it, the Catholic call It, “the eternal sonship of God.”… Which as I have said before, the word doesn’t even make sense. See, there cannot be an eternal son, because a son had to have a beginning. And so Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning. See?
But the Son was the… Not eternal sonship, but the Son that was with the Father in the beginning was the Logos that went out of God.
And it was the Theophany of God that went out, the human form that didn’t have eyes like you see: a better eye. It didn’t have ears like you hear, but a far more hearing. See? It was a Theophany, that all this rainbow condescended into a–a Theophany. Moses saw It when It passed through the rock like that. He saw the back parts, said, “It looked like a man.”
ADOPTION_ JEFF.IN AD.PT.4 SUNDAY_ 60-0522E
49 Notice, this Melchisedec, as soon as He met Abraham coming from the slaughter of the kings… The mystery of God now being made known, Who was He? Nobody… They can’t find any history of Him, because He didn’t have any father; He didn’t have any mother; He never had any time He began; He never had any time He’d ever die; so ever Who He was is still alive. He never did have a beginning, so He couldn’t have been nobody else but El, Elah, Elohim; self-existent, self-abiding, Almighty God.
Jesus had a Father; Jesus had a Mother; Jesus had a beginning of days; Jesus had an ending of earthly life. But this Man had neither father nor mother (Amen.), no father nor mother. Jesus had both Father and Mother. This Man had neither father nor mother. Amen. And what did He do? After the battle was over, after Abraham had took his position…
After the church takes its position, we’re called to the adoption of sons by the Holy Spirit. And when each man takes his position, what God has called him to do, and stand to the end of the road, going after the lost…
W.M. Branham notes ONE God who has a son, who IS deity
ISRAEL.AT.THE.RED.SEA.1_ JEFF.IN IC 35-64 THURSDAY_ 53-0326
161 ….I believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. He was more than a Prophet. He was more than a good Man. He was God inveiled in flesh: God in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. That’s Who He was. We’ll get into that in a few nights, Who He was. That’s the reason you can’t have faith, ’cause you don’t know Who He was.

SHOW.US.THE.FATHER.IT’LL.SATISFY_ CONNERSVILLE.IN WEDNESDAY_ 53-0610
E-71 As I said that other night, when God was out there on the ship that night, the woman said, “Why was that little old boat tossed around like that?”
It was the Man that was sleeping, but it was God Who could stop the waves.
It was the Man Who cried going to Lazarus’ grave, but it was God Who raised the dead.
The Man, Christ Jesus cried. He was a Man. But God that was in Him could speak to the dead and it lived again.
The Man that was in Christ Jesus, Himself, He could hunger and want for something to eat around that tree. But the God-man that was in Him could take five biscuits and feed five thousand.
God was in His Son reconciling the world to Himself. He’s not going to let nobody tell you He was a philosopher, He was a good man, He was a prophet. He was God. Exactly Who He was. I believe in His Deity straightly.
REDEMPTION.BY.POWER_ LVL.KY V-25 N-7 MONDAY_ 54-0329
3 There was never One like Him on earth, never will be. He was Emmanuel. He was Alpha, Omega, the Beginning and the End, He that was, which is, and shall come, the Root and Offspring of David; the Morning Star. In Him dwelt Deity. In Him was God.
“God was in His Son, in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself.”
Jesus said, “It’s not me that doeth the works, but it’s My Father that dwelleth in Me. My Father and I are One,” God made manifest in flesh.
What a marvelous revelation of God’s love to us, He would unfold Himself and come down and dwell in human flesh in order to take away sin and sickness from the human race and redeem us back to the Father. That’s wonderful, isn’t it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”–Ed.] We sure appreciate that.
GOD.PERFECTING.HIS.CHURCH_ BINGHAMTON.NY SATURDAY_ 54-1204
E-3 Oh, many of you know Einar Ekberg, don’t you? You perhaps do, the great Swedish singer who sang for us in California. He just sang about every night for me. I–I loved it so well. And I certainly think…
In the day… What it does to me, it expresses the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ in a day when they’re trying to just make Him a philosopher, a teacher, or a prophet. Why, He was more than that. If He was just a philosopher, if He was just a teacher or even, He was a prophet, we’re saved–we’re not saved. We’re in sin.
He was either–He was God or the biggest deceiver the world’s ever had. That’s right. God was manifested in flesh to take away sin. The Bible said that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. He was deity Himself, wrapped up in His own Tabernacle that He created, which was His Son, the flesh, Christ Jesus, Jehovah God revealed Himself through His Son, Christ Jesus. Oh, my. What a story and what a truth that is.
GOD.PERFECTING.HIS.CHURCH_ BINGHAMTON.NY SATURDAY_ 54-1204
E-16 Then the next time God was manifested, was in His Son, Christ Jesus. Then He come through a virgin birth. Conceived by a virgin, overshadowed by the Holy Spirit. God Himself came down into a blood cell and wrapped the Blood around Him. The Blood cell, the germ of Life of God Himself, wrapped in this Blood cell that brought forth the Son, Christ Jesus.
Now, what He did–does by that, to make you perfect and to bring you back into fellowship, He brings you through that Blood cell into Himself. You get it? Through the Blood cell of the Lord Jesus that in-veiled the Life of Jehovah, and we, coming through the Blood cell, becomes a part of that Life.
So, Deity itself lays in the man that’s received the Holy Spirit. You are a son. I’m a Branham by birth. And a part of Mr. and Mrs. Branham is in me. And if you become a son or a daughter of God, part of Deity lays in you.
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.6.AND.7._ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0915M
253-525 And in this marvelous teaching here of Saint Paul, in the backgrounds in the former chapters he has specifically been dealing with the supreme Deity of the Lord Jesus and Who He was. Christ was God made so that man could feel Him, and touch Him, and–and fellowship with Him. Christ, the Lord Jesus was the body that God dwelt in: “God was made flesh and dwelt among us.” I Timothy 3:16, “Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness, for God was manifested in flesh.”
The great Jehovah came down and was made tangible by living in the body of His own Son, declaring and reconciling the world to Himself. God was nothing… Christ was nothing short of God, and–and God was nothing short of Christ. The two together made the Godhead bodily, made a little lower than Angels so that He could suffer. Angels cannot suffer. Jesus was the Tabernacle that God dwelt in.

281-Q-63 63. Please explain the Trinity. How can the Son set at the right hand of the Father, interceding for the–to the Father, if they are not two persons?
….. The Father and the Son… The Father was Almighty Jehovah God dwelling in a Tabernacle called Jesus Christ, which was the anointed Son of God. Jesus was a Man; God is a Spirit. And no man has seen God at any time, but the only begotten of the Father has declared Him. He was… He…
His Personality, His Being, His Deity, whatever He was, He was God. He was nothing less or nothing more than God. Yet, He was a man. He was a man, a house that God dwelt in. That’s right. He was God’s dwelling place.
NOTE: Became deity at baptism

E-30 Notice, there He went into the wilderness for forty days, fasting and praying, came out anointed. See what the Holy Ghost did to Him? Drove Him into the wilderness, away to Himself. Every man and woman that’s born of the Spirit of God and receives the Holy Spirit, it’ll drive you away from your associates, to be alone: communion, fellowship, in the wilderness alone.
Then, notice. When He came out of the wilderness and begin to preach. He had the full revelation, for He was Deity Himself then. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.
He had a direct witness. John saw the Spirit. Jesus knowed it was to be so, because He was called and set aside for that purpose, before the foundation of the world. He was the Son of God, that was to take away the sins of the world.

See, I wouldn’t say that isn’t true, but to me, I–I study it, not taking any–any words… I read what other men has to say and appreciate them. And everything that anyone says, I appreciate it.
But then–then I take it to God, and I stay with it until I can explain it from Genesis to Revelation, and then see it all hook up in the Bible, and then I–I know it’s somewhere near right.
And ‘course, where you’re right, that’s just one place that I got off of the–the–the line at. And maybe where you’re wrong or right, that’s where I got off the line, and vice versa.
The Father and His son in the beginning
ATTITUDE.AND.WHO.IS.GOD?_ CLEVELAND.OH TUESDAY_ 50-0815
E-18 What’s He doing? Writing His first Bible. Notice, the human beings once looked towards the heavens. And He puts all the stars in the heavens, the zodiac, starting off with the Virgin, ending up with Leo the Lion. First coming of Christ, the second coming. Came by the Virgin, come again as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. There He puts the first Bible.
Oh, back in the days of–ancient days, they looked at those things. Today, He’s got His Bible wrote here. But He wrote It in the heavens, that man would look up and realize that Jehovah the Creator lived above. And then I can see Him, He looked at that…
I can see Him speak to this world hanging there as an icicle, whatever it was, way away. And He moved it over here. I can see this little Light go out. Now, we got two now.
The Father, and out of the Father came the Light, the Son. And I can see that Light moving over here and pulled the earth over near the sun to dry it off. And begin to…?… raise the water up, separating the land, earth from the water, and so forth.
Then He begin to create. And He made the fishes of the sea, the vegetable life. Put the cattles on the hill. It all looked good to Him.
Then He said, “Let us make man in Our own image, after Our likeness.” Is that right? All right. So He made a man. God was Spirit; he had to be a spirit man made in His image. He put him here on the earth to lead the animal life and so forth, like the Holy Spirit should be leading the Church today. That was man.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ 64-0823E
1046-237 On top of Mount Zion will set the Lamb. And the city will need no light, for the Lamb is the Light thereof.
And above the Lamb will be the Father, which is the Logos, God, the great Light, the eternal Light that’ll shine just above the throne. And Jesus will not be on His Father’s throne, He’ll be on His throne. And the Father will hover over the Son, which the Father and Son will be One. “And while they are yet speaking, I’ll answer. Before they can think, I’m thinking for them.” That’s right.
And Jesus will commit a perfect, perfect age to a–the perfect living God, that He has redeemed and give over to the Father. Is that right? Will turn to God the Father which is Spirit, not a man, Spirit. All nature of goodness gathered together, that’s God. And in goodness… Now, anything perverted from good is evil; that’s Satan’s kingdom. All good belongs to God. All evil belongs…
Preaching to Oneness and Trinitarians Pentecostals as the 7th angel to Laodicea
PRESENT.STAGE.OF.MY.MINISTRY_ JEFF.IN V-11 N-2 SATURDAY_ 62-0908
38 And if you notice in the vision that I had of the–my ministry, it was… I’ve never crossed those trees. I have never proselyted. I’ve never said, “All you trinitarians be oneness” or “all you oneness be trinitarians.” I have planted in their own vessels. Just exactly. I went to the trinitarian; I went to the oneness; I went to everybody and stayed between and never joined any of them, but stayed between, being a brother, just exactly what that vision said do. And I’ve eat the fruit from both sides, salvation on both sides.
39 And now, did you notice, there’s many trinitarian people setting here; there’s many oneness, and there’s many different ones. But how little you would be to fuss about it, because if that part of the vision was true, the other part’s true too. Both fruits was found in the cross. See? Both of them was in the cross, all clustered together, and both plums and pear–or peach, plums and apples rained down on me there: both of them. All found in the cross, because they all believed in God and are filled with the Holy Ghost, and have the Christian works and signs following.
Now, the denomination won’t have nothing to do with it. It’ll be the borned again that’ll have anything to do with it. It’ll be your experience with God that’ll have to do with it. Now, we see so much of that. I’ve got several Scriptures here that I–I’d like to refer to. Maybe I will a little later on.
Attitude towards Oneness and Trinitarians
INFLUENCE_ PHOENIX.AZ SATURDAY_ 63-0112
E-78 Oh, church, why can’t we?… Listen, it’s like a ball game, somebody at a football game. Somebody gets the ball, and every one of his own players try to take the ball right away from him. You can’t win the game. Be a guard, guard the ball, not try to take it away from the next man.
“Glory to God. If he can do it over here on this corner, God bless him. I’m–I’m a Oneness, I can do it.” “I’m a Trinitarian, I can do it. He ain’t got no business doing that.” You’re knocking the ball out of your own player’s hands.
All you Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Oneness, twoness, threeness, if you’re riding a one-hump camel, two-hump camels, or if you’ve got a dozen humps, what difference does it make? Let’s all come to this well, a “fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Immanuel’s veins, where sinners plunge…” Let’s guard the ball. This is the Ball. The Holy Spirit’s trying to pack It. It’ll condemn communism; it’ll condemn sin; it’ll condemn unrighteousness. It’ll manifest and glorify Jesus Christ, and bring His Person into the midst of the people. Amen. Sure. No.
HEAR.YE.HIM_ INDIANAPOLIS.IN MONDAY_ 56-0611
E-20 And how typical that is of our heavenly Father. When His children is born into the Kingdom, they’re not given a bishop, neither are they given any earthly person, but God the Father has given the best tutor the Church could have, the Holy Spirit, as a raiser of the Church. “When He comes He will teach you and guide you into all truth,” the Holy Spirit.
And now, when this duty of this teacher of raising the son, was to bring word to the father how he progressed. And his conduct determined his inheritance. If he was a good son, he would inherit all the father had. If he wasn’t a good son, then he got nothing; he wasn’t worthy, yet he was a son.
And just because you have received the Holy Spirit; that doesn’t mean that everything’s just going to be poured into your hands. That’s the reason if the Church would get quiet just a little bit and quit trying to say, “I’m Assembly. I’m a Oneness. I’m a Trinitarian. I’m–I’m this, I’m that, and the other.” You’re Christ’s, and the purchase of His Blood. Got no right to break fellowships with people like that, unless they’re living the wrong life, draw any fences or barriers. We’re all one in Christ Jesus. For by one Spirit we’re all baptized into one body, the body of the believers.
Conclusion
As noted in the introduction, it is left to the reader to conclude the true version of the godhead presented to us by the messenger of our age.
Each believer, under varying ministries, has been exposed and taught divergent views of the godhead. To conclude, here are some closing comments by our prophet messenger, representing not the thoughts of man but the mind of God to us in this age.
SIR.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_ PORT.ALBERNI.BC TUESDAY_ 62-0724
E-47 Now, remember. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Is that right? All right. “Not Me,” said Jesus, “doeth the works: but My Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.” Now, if you’re putting Scriptures down, Saint John 5:19, Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son likewise.” Now, remember, not what He hears the Father saying, but what He sees the Father doing.
Therefore, Jesus never did nothing until God showed Him by a vision what to do first. If He didn’t, the Scripture’s wrong. Saint John 5:19 said, “Verily, I say unto you (that means absolutely), I say unto you, The Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son likewise; for the Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto.” In other words, He just acted out in drama what God, the Father, showed Him to do, because God was in Christ.
Now, Matthew 3, it said, “This is My beloved Son,” when He was coming down, a voice speaking from that, God, that was coming down like a dove. John bare record seeing it. And a voice come from it, saying, “This is My beloved Son in Whom, in Whom I am pleased to dwell.” And if I was going to make it so you’d understand it better, that the early translators in King James… If you get the original Greek, it reads like this: “This is My beloved Son in Whom I’m pleased to dwell in.” But you see, it’s the same thing. “In whom I’m pleased to dwell.” See? “I am pleased to dwell in My Son.” Then He became Emmanuel, God with us.

No one understood Him. How know–how that… How many know that they couldn’t understand Him? Sure. Why? They thought He had a dual personality. 230 “But in a place where I choose to put My Name…” Now, there’s not another place in the Bible given where that God ever put His Name, only in Jesus Christ; for He is the Son of God taking the Name of God, and God’s human Name. “And there’s not another name given under heaven whereby you must be saved.” I don’t care, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, catechisms, or whatever you want to do; only through the Name of Jesus Christ where every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to it, Him being Lord. There’s how you come in.
And if you was just baptized in water like–like, and then deny the Word, then you’re illegitimate; your birth wasn’t correct. You claim that you believed Him then, and you deny Him.
How could I deny my family? When… How could I deny Charles Branham being my father? A blood test on the door shows it. See? Uh-huh.

93 …. Now, remember, He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. For God meets you in Him, the only Place there is, for that is where He has chosen to put His Name: in Jesus. Jesus is the Name of God. Remember, Father, Son, Holy Ghost is titles to the Name Jesus Christ.

483-1 {168} What is the Name of God? What is the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? The Bible said Jesus was His Name….
JOHN 5:43
43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
JOHN 10:25
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

230 And I know that I’m talking in here even to trinitarian ministers. And my brethren, I do not say this; I do not say this to hurt. I’m a trinitarian too; I believe in the trinity, the–the three attributes of God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but not three Gods. See? I believe there to be three attributes, absolutely; I do that with all my heart: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but they are not three Gods. They’re just three attribute. Or other, three offices of God. God lived once in the Fatherhood, Sonship, and now the Holy Ghost. It’s the same God in three offices. And they have…
And Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, is not no Name of God. God has one Name, and His Name is Jesus.
The Bible said the family in heaven is named Jesus, and the family in earth is named Jesus. That’s right. So God had one Name, human Name. He was–had a name called Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rapha, that was His titles of Deity. But He had one Name, Jesus. That’s Him.
And truly, my brethren, if you disagree with me, remember, I–I–I’ll meet you over there, anyhow. See? I’ll–I’ll be there with you. And God bless you. And I love you.
HEBREWS 1:1-4
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
REVELATION.BOOK.OF.SYMBOLS_ JEFF.IN V-13 N-6 SUNDAY_ 56-0617
69 Like the great water lily. The little, tiny seed born way down in the bottom of a miry, mucky, dirty, frog-scummy pond, and it winds its way up through the muck, through all the mud and all the scum, and becomes the finest thing that you ever looked into the face of, with a radiance like the sunshine.
So is the Church of the living God, that’s been born down in the mud of fanaticism and chaos. But she’s wound her way through the grime until she’s on top of the thing, just waiting for her wings for the flight.
“Many shall run to and fro; and the people that know their God shall do exploits in that day.” God’s revelations to His Church… Set still, little Flock, positionally stay where you are.
As Sister Gertie and Sister Angie used to sing here, “Keep holding on.” Don’t worry. God is waiting, and trying, and pressing to get at the mystery of God revealed to His Church.
That’s what’s a-holding back the coming of Christ now and the great Millennium, is this great supernatural power that really lays dormant in the Church.
EPHESIANS 4:11-14
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
PROVING.HIS.WORD_ LA.CA V-18 N-3 MONDAY_ 65-0426
126 As I said the other night, He come in three names; the name of the Son of God, Son of man, and Son of David.
When He was on earth here the first time, He was the Son of man. He could not be Son of God then; He never claimed to be. He said He was Son of man. When anybody would question Him, He said, “You see the Son of man, the Son of man…” Now, “Son of man” is a prophet. He had to come that way, because the Scripture, He cannot come contrary to the Scripture.
That’s why today, that our–our Message of this hour cannot come through theologians and theology; it’s got to come back to the same thing it promised to do. It must be that way.
So we find that in this Man, He had to be a prophet, not Son of God there, He had to be Son of man. Jehovah Himself called the prophets, Jeremiah and them, “Son of man.” “When you see the Son of man…”
“Who is the Son of man?” they kept asking.
Then He served His office as Son of man.
Then He served His office now as Son of God. God is a Spirit, and when now He served through the church ages, as Son of God.
Now, in the millennium, He’ll be Son of David, when He sets on the throne of David. He’ll be the heir to the throne, Son of David. Son of man, Son of God, Son of David, and it’s the same Man all the time.
Just like Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the office of God. He was God the Father, then He became God the Son, and now He’s God the Holy Ghost: not three Gods; one God, three manifestation, three attributes of the same God.
